Today, August 25, was a good day for music lovers. So many artists dropped new work! It’s been hard to keep up, but we couldn’t help but notice that Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus were kind of twinning (fraternal twinning?) in their respective videos for their new singles. Both Disney Channel alums dipped into the glittery pigments for their looks. 

In the music video for her latest single “Single Soon,” Gomez is having the best night of her light eating, dancing, singing karaoke with friends, and actively not worrying about her impending breakup. Metallics and shimmer are major themes throughout her outfits and makeup. In one scene, her hair is piled on her head into a messy bun with face-framing pieces that cascade past her cheekbones. Her eyes were heavily rimmed with black liner that created a sultry vibe reminiscent of TikTok’s siren eyes trend.
